Rise Sport celebrates Latin American culture with a collaboration with Chilean artist Rodolfo Edwards under its Art & Design Collection. Rodolfo, who studied architecture and urbanism in his native Santiago, Chile, now creates what he calls “The Art of Architectural Disguise” in his Brooklyn studio.
He describes his process as constructed from images he collects from around the world of either places he’s been or places he’d like to visit. At first sight, his paintings hit you with an eruption of color, and then with closer observation, you see constructed lines that weave in and out like carefully webbed intersections, which could make up an aerial view of an urban metropolis grid.
The collaboration features his work entitled Huara, which is a pre-Hispanic Inca town north of Chile. Rodolfo’s work has been shown in New York, Miami, Chile and Shanghai.
